Last week, I made the move to Halifax. It will be here at Senobe Aquatic Club on Lake Banook that I’ll be spending the next weeks of my Fall.
Lake Banook holds one of the national team training centres, which means it’s a great place to train to get exposure to many Olympic-calibre athletes.
Halifax is also a city where the temperature stays way milder than in my hometown of Ottawa. Back in Ottawa, we will have at most one more week of training, so this move for the fall allows me to have about five more weeks on the water. This is a big amount of time where I can easily get 500-600 more km on the water, which gives me a big head start on next year’s racing season.
